Sometimes, through donations and grants, we are able to show our senior recipients they are cared for by other thoughtful supplies, services or gifts. Some examples have included:
- Blank birthday cards
- Fresh flower bouquets
- Magazines
- Silk flower arrangements using recycled materials
- Boxed food that is not out of date
- Fresh vegetables
- Holiday cards - blank or generally made out to MOW recipients
- Placemats
- Christmas dinner from VFW
- Thanksgiving dinner from Elks Club
- Extra supplies/toiletries/blankets/food from Mountain Projects around the winter holidays
- Various educational information and items of support from our AAA - Area Agency on Aging
- Pet food (Cat & Dog) to help feed our recipient's pets from various pet lovers, pet shops, veterinarians, non-profit pet groups
- Emergency shelf stable meals
